Well here it goes, my first swipe at writing a blog. I am anxious to make this pertinent and interesting. My promise to you is that I will not write just to see my words in print. Sometimes they will be informational and relate to my business (today I will discuss gold selling), sometimes I will talk about my faith and what God has been teaching me and other times, if I get worked up about some current event, I will use this forum to give my 2 cents worth.

 You would have to be living in a cave over the last couple of months to have missed some of the prolific advertising that the Cash4 people have been blasting almost every form of media with. This is current proof that just because it is on TV-radio-newspaper-the net doesn't mean that they are the best at what they do. When I say the best at what they do, I mean are people getting the most for their money, are they being treated fairly. They are spending close to 10 million dollars a month to buy their credibility. DON'T FALL FOR IT! I have had the opportunity to make an offer on several different groups of scrap gold that people had brought in to me to sell. In each of these cases I did not know that they had sent their gold off (more about that in a bit) and received a check back from the Cash4 people. The customers did not feel that it was enough money for what they sent in and asked to have it sent back. They got their gold back which had identifiable pieces in th e group and brought it in to me. I made the offer and in each case I offered TEN TIMES what the Cash4 people offered. Needless to say my customers were very happy with the amount they were offered and sold their scrap gold.

With gold close to an all time high (with in 6% at this writing) there is a lot of buzz about selling the scrap at the bottom of your jewelry box. I am just overwhelmed at the amount of people who must be sending their gold off to these folks, people who are Johnny-come-latelys. Almost every one has some old gold sitting in the bottom of their jewelry box (remember the "big gold " 80's). I just don't want to see anyone make a mistake. Take it to someone you trust. We at Midwest would love to have an opportunity to help you out, but please, whatever you do, don't send it to someone just because they spend a fortune on advertising.
