Good Friday morning to all!
I received a call from Bill and Don last night, it was really good to hear their voices. The group relished the showers and soft beds as they finally got to sleep in a hotel. Actually it is more of a resort. When they got there and Don heard the price it was going to be past the means of the team. They struck up a counter person and said that they had just gotten back from doing relief in Haiti and the hotel worker gave them half off the rooms, just like that. What a blessing for the team! Dan and Bill were able to do some snorkeling in the afternoon while the rest of the group was able to just relax.

At the last clinic they did on Tuesday, several people were diagnosed with fairly significant diseases including one with a probably tumor that they were able to get to the hospital.
Before they left P Au P they were able to enjoy a pizza party (there is a Domino's still standing there) with the group and worship with about 60 of the local people. It was a special time for all.

Unfortunately, Christy is very sick with a food poisoning like illness; please keep her in your prayers.

TWO IMPORTANT THINGS!!

1) Bill and I are going to try and organize a get together in the next 7 days for anyone who is interested in hearing more first hand information about the trip. I should have more info Sunday or Monday and shoot a note out.

2) SWI is organizing another trip to Haiti that will leave around March 3. It will be a trip that will have much less emphasis on medical, rather a high emphasis on grief counseling. Bill will hopefully be going as well and  setting up more purification systems. Please pray about whether God is calling you to this. It is profoundly rewarding work. Remember God doesn't call the equipped, He equips the called. Nothing that I did these past two weeks was in my strength. It was all God. If you are not able to go, please pray about financially supporting those who might. But please pray about making the trip, I can certainly attest that it will be life changing.
