Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

You are getting this email because you were faithful prayer support and interested bystanders for my trip to India. I am hopeful I can count on you again. Bill Farrar and I will be traveling to Haiti this Friday to install water purification systems there to help with the devastation caused by the January earthquake.

Because of the chaos that exists down there and the difficulty of travel arrangements, there was some uncertainty on the exact dates of the trip. When I heard what the dates were (Feb 5-17) my first thought was "but what about the Super Bowl"? Fortunately I instantly came to my self and realized that I am whining about missing the Colt's play a football game when 10's of thousands of people are dead and many still have not received medical care yet. Let me get my priorities straight here.

I am convinced that this is God's calling for me at this time. That certainty did not come without some trepidation. I couldn't get over the feeling that some violent demise was in store for me almost to the point of obsession. I am not sure where these thoughts were coming from but I was still certain that I had heard correctly. Yesterday morning, after a night of very restless sleep and obsessing about this violent end, I finally said to God please give me some sort of sign that I will not miss; settle it for me, did I get it wrong, is the enemy messing with me, are you just done with me here on earth, WHAT ALREADY!?!?

So I went to work out and a couple of people came up to me and asked me a couple of questions about the trip then wandered off. Then a guy who I had done nothing more than make a slight nod to once or twice because I had seen him at the club a few times, comes up to me and says that someone I had told the story to about the Super Bowl timing and me trying to keep my priorities straight told him. So he goes and tells the story at his office. This was about the time that God flipped the switch on the neon sign. Someone I who I don't even know his name is telling this story to people I have never even seen before. My fear of my premature demise instantly left and it occurred to me that I needed to make sure to tell the story of this trip to as many people as I can.

But all of this dear God for Your Glory not mine.

So here I am. I do not know what the communication ability will be down there but I have a feeling that God is going to use this powerfully so I will do my level best to get an entry out as often as I can. I Crave your prayers for protection and discernment and being totally Holy Spirit led.
