Last night after our assessment at the hospital, God very strongly laid it on Martha's heart to return to the hospital with some others from the team to administer an IV to a baby who was severely dehydrated among other thiings. This turned ot to be truely Gods timing as the favor that the team enjoyed at the hospital last not did not seem to exist today. The baby showed an almost complete turnaround.

Today we had  our first full day of real hands on opportunities here in Haiti. The medical team spent some important time sorting medicines and supplies then went to another camp and set up logistics to run a medical clinic tomorrow.

Bill and I were cheuffered around by his friend, Pastor Joaz. This was a riot of sights, sounds, smells, and experiences the likes of which we are just not used to in the states. Along with Bill and I finding EVERYthing that we need to set up our first water system, we were clipped by a truck, had a shop owner pull a shotgun on a customer ( not us), ate some fried wood  (a delicacy here)and sang praise music at the hospital and 2 men who were listening gave their lives to Christ on the spot. What a day!

prayer requests today are still for Godly centered translators.

there was word that the medical bags did not make it out of the states, we are not sure that is accurate. please pray that they show up, we need them

continued protection

Getting to know the team:
Dan Newlun;
This is the first mission trip for Dan who is a nurse in his home state of Vermont. Dan is our worship leader because he brought his guitar and quite a nice voice to go with it. His wife of 6 1/2 years, Stacey, is taking care of their 2 girls ages 2 and 3 as well as growing their baby boy who is due on April 19th. He has a real heart for ministry which is a gift from his father who is a minister in New York.
